Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is a Social Cultural and Educational Trust. It was founded on November 7, 1938 by Dr. K.M. Munshi, with the support of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. The trust programmes through its 119 centres in India, 7 centres abroad and 367 constituent institutions, cover "all aspects of life from the cradle to the grave and beyond - it fills a growing vacuum in modern life as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru observed when he first visited the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1950. It has steadily grown into a comprehensive, co-operative, apolitical, national movement with an international outlook. It seeks to inculcate a value-based life. The promotion of ethical and sprititual values in everything that it does.
Shri.Dhirubhai Mehta was associated with Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan and it's activities for over 20 years and was its CEO for 3 years. During his association the cultural & educational activities was expanded rapidly & new branches were established in Sydney and at various places in India.
